Aero Commerce Core Reaches Version 0.42.1

Two new features have made its way into this version, the ability to flag order items in both orders and in fulfilments and the addition of a setting to allow a default weight unit that is then used across the site.

First lets take a look at order item flagging. This works in the same way a flags do for orders, you can set up your flags under Configuration > Flags and give them an name and colour. On a completed order hover over the order item and you will see a flag icon, clicking this will then allow you to add a flag against this item. This works the same within fulfilments also.

Set global weight unit.

You can now set your prefered weight measurment across the site by choosing the option under Configuration > Settings > Admin > Units. You can choose between g, kg, lb, oz. This will then set that unit across the admin panel for areas such as the Shipping Method options.

Aero Commerce Core has now reached version 0.41.9, bringing a couple of small but useful backend improvements, alongside supporting updates to the Admin module. Below are the key highlights for this release.

New tools for translation handling

A new getRawTranslation method has been added to the HasTranslation trait. This gives developers more flexibility when working with translatable fields — especially useful when you need the untranslated value for logic or debugging purposes.

In addition, a new shouldBeFiredForAction method is now available on the ManagedEvent class. This adds more granular control over whether specific events should be triggered depending on certain conditions — helping to tidy up custom event handling in larger Aero projects.

Enhancements to the Product Picker component

For merchants working with cost prices, version 1.39.5 of the Admin module ensures that the sidebar price shown in the Product Picker Vue component now correctly reflects cost values. This fix should help reduce confusion and improve accuracy when building promotions or editing product details.

New admin setting for cost price visibility

A new show-cost-price prop has been added to the Product Picker Vue component in version 1.39.4. This gives developers and merchants more flexibility in controlling cost visibility — especially useful when building custom views or interfaces.

Improved filter behaviour in admin lists

Also in 1.39.4, an issue was resolved where filters in searchable select dropdowns couldn’t have their final selection cleared. This small but important fix improves UX when managing long lists in areas like Products, Orders, or Customers.

In conclusion, while this is a smaller update, it delivers quality-of-life improvements for developers and admin users alike. From better translation control and cleaner event handling in the Core, to improvements in product editing and filtering within the Admin panel — these updates continue to refine Aero’s flexibility and ease of use. Let us know if you’d like help applying these updates to your store or exploring the new features.

Aero Commerce Core has now reached version 0.41.8 with many bug fixes. This also includes features through many of the supporting modules, such as the admin module. Below are some highlights for this month.

Resource List views get settings.

New settings have been added under Configuration> Settings > Admin that allow you to toggle how views, such as the Products list and Orders list, are displayed. You can now add a button to show or hide the filters on larger screens; you can also set the table to full width to show all the available data more comfortably.

Guest Customer / Existing Customer

Previously, orders created on the back-end admin side would always default to the guest customer when entering the customer details. Now you have the option to default this to existing customers instead by toggling the “Default to guest customer” to off.

Bulk actions for setting filters.

The option to hide, show or select specific filters is now available as a bulk action on categories, manufacturers, collections and combinations. This will save time going through each item and setting the filters manually.

Change how tax is displayed at checkout.

This update will be a welcome addition for many B2B companies; it has always been the case that, with the initial B2C focus, prices on the checkout included tax and VAT, as shown in the image below…

However, now, with a setting found under Configuration > Settings > Checkout, you can choose whether you want prices to be shown as inclusive of VAT or exclusive of VAT.

It can then display the tax as itemised on the checkout, as shown below.

In conclusion, Aero Commerce Core version 0.41.8 brings a host of improvements and new features that enhance both functionality and user experience. The introduction of customizable resource list views, the ability to default to existing customers for backend orders, bulk actions for setting filters, and flexible tax display options at checkout are significant updates that cater to a wide range of user needs. These enhancements not only streamline administrative tasks but also provide greater control and efficiency for businesses. We look forward to seeing how these updates benefit your operations and welcome any feedback you may have.

]]>

Aero Commerce has released version 0.41.5, With this version you can now place pages in a draft form so that they don’t show on the front end until ready, an option has been added to prevent out of stock items being added to MOTO orders and the Opayo Module has been updated to support Google Pay.

Show / Hide Pages

Under CMS > Pages under the content field you will now find a check box that says “Show / hide this page at a particular time”, toggling this option allows you to set dates when you would like to show or hide the page at which is useful for pages that are not yet ready or for content that are date sensitive.

Prevent out of stock items being added to MOTO Orders

On a previous update Aero Added the option to prevent out of stock items being added to an order, this can be over ridden on an order by ticking the Configuration option on the page. This update improves this functionality by removing the + icon next to items that are out of stock when the allow option is not checked so that items can’t be added in the first instance rather than them being added on the product picker then showing an out of stock error on the order screen.
